The original Doichan started here in Kichijoji, the popular residential and entertainment neighborhood in the far west of Tokyo. Located on the first floor of an apartment building on a street full of neon lights, Doichan Kichijoji is exudes an inviting and relaxing vibe. We have counter seating for those who want a quick meal by themselves and larger tatami and table seating. Come try our famous beef tripe stew “motsu nabe” and enjoy a beer or shochu.
Marunouchi is the main financial district of Tokyo, full of towering office building and near Tokyo Station. Doichan offers a relaxing and at-home environment so that you can forget about all the hustle and bustle of work. The interior is like a traditional Japanese izakaya with a modern and “Marunouchi-like” feel. Our menu offers a wide variety of traditional Japanese fare as well as samplings from around the world that represents our international clientele in this international neighborhood.
When you think of it, there’s a lot in common with Japanese izakayas - with their small dishes designed to be shared with groups, their casual and relaxed environment, and the emphasis on having a few or more drinks - and Spanish tapas bars. Señor Doichan combines the best of both world’s in this Spanish izakaya. Come have our take on the traditional paella and other tapas, located in the upscale Aoyama neighborhood.
