CONCEPT

Our take on the traditional Western/Japanese diner.

During the Meiji Period of rapid modernization and westernization, many “Yoshoku” or European-style diners opened up in Japan. Modeled after German beer halls, these diners while being ostensibly European became a distinctly Japanese phenomenon. SWAN DINER is our take on this style of Japanese/European diner. The menu features hamburg steaks, beef stew, sausages, rice plates, and sandwiches.

SWAN DiNER Ochanomizu

Located in the Ochanomizu neighborhood which is famous for its universities and old brick European style buildings, SWAN DINER is our first yoshoku style diner. The design evokes the early European style buildings in Tokyo with their red brick exteriors and wooden paneling. The menu features Japanese favorites like hamburg steaks, black curry, and of course plenty of beer!
